Five weeks. Four phases. No mystery.
Here's exactly what happens.
Week 1
Discovery
We start with a proper conversation. Not a questionnaire, not a form. A real conversation about your idea, your business, and the people who'll use your app. I'll get you to paint a picture of your users. Where they are, what they're doing, what frustrates them. We'll talk about your business goals, because if this app doesn't have a clear path to making money, I'll be honest with you about that before you spend a cent. Then I do the research. Your industry, your competitors, your target users. And put it all into a report you'll reference for the rest of the project.
Week 2
Structure
I map out every user flow and screen in lo-fi wireframes. This is the blueprint. Where does someone go when they open the app? What happens when they tap this button? How do they get back? You review everything, we refine it together, and we don't move forward until the structure makes sense. No surprises later.
Weeks 3 to 4
Design
Every screen gets designed in full detail. Colour, type, spacing, icons, interactions. The lot. Your brand style guide and logo get done here too. You see your app come to life screen by screen, and we check in regularly so nothing goes off track. Want to see what this stage looks like? Take a look at my design portfolio.
Week 5
Prototype & Handoff
Everything gets wired into an advanced prototype you can tap through on your phone. I also lightly code the front end of your app, the visual layer, as part of this process. This isn't the final coded application, but it gives your developer a real frame and logic to build from instead of starting from scratch. I prepare your Figma files, your app icon, and detailed developer notes. By the end of this week, you're holding everything a developer needs to build the finished product.
